The Monte Carlo in Vegas is on fire

Hopefully they got everyone out. I stayed there in 2000 when I saw PJ. Beautiful hotel. I actually stayed where the fire is, on the 34th floor (out of 35)

    holy cow, that's awful. I've stayed there too...........it cost a pretty penny!

    bizzare. my boss is in Vegas right now, and just emailed me a picture of it... lots of black smoke billowing out the top... yikes! :eek:

    that's the weirdest thing about this. I've never seen black smoke like that.

    We can see a big ol smoke cloud from the office.

    I hope no one has gotten hurt.

    sounds like there were no injuries, including firefighters. That's amazing. I'm sure they have extensive training for things like this, since a hotel fire would be terrible for business, and the local economy. Wasn't there a real bad fire at the MGM years back?

    Got a text from a friend today telling me about the fire. I haven't watched any news yet. I stayed there in 06 for the PJ MGM Grand show. Hope nobody got hurt.
