...first time in a long time. Gotta get there more often. That's just about the only reason to live on Long Island and pay $7000 in property tax

I just got back last weekend, and it isn't fair of you to remind me how much I hate the "real world".

    Glad you had fun!!!
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

  • this is a great beach. Raw Bar, Grill, Frozen margaritas and such. Nice playground for the kids, volleyball courts, etc..the water is far, far away from all that, so you don't have to worry about kids making a break for the water. i wanna go back tomorrow....

When I was growing up my parents had a place that was literally right across from the beach. I could actually hear the waves crashing from my bedroom window. My friends and I used to get up at the crack of dawn and walk over to the beach to get a surf session in before school. We lived there for several years. Partied my freaking head off. Girls love the beach. They would show up on my doorstep with beach towel in hand.

I haven't been to the beach since once last year! I grew up right by the beach and used to practically LIVED at the beach until my mid-20s. Last time I went though I got kind of bored sitting there and reading a book. if other people wanted to go I'd probably be more abt to make the effort to get there. I really like SWIMMING at the beach, but I haven't felt comfortable wearing a bathing suit in the last 2 years or so.
  • ahhh, go for it. Who cares what anyone thinks?

Lucky! I tried to go to the beach yesterday, but it was pouring by me on the south shore.
