anyone? I just bought it and while it seems similair to MVP 05 I fucking suck, I don't get the pitching meter and what the joysticks do when batting, the book is shit for helping, any ideas?

  • Uhh...eject disk and insert Uncharted?

I dunno... you sound like me playing NHL 08 after a few years off. I can't play with the newer type controls; had to switch to 'classic', but i lose the ability to do half the shit the computer and people online do to me. There are still enough buttons for loose puck dekes and saucer passes....fuck!

yeah I bought unchartted and it was really super cool for the 20 minutes I played it but then I haven't had the tinniest urge to play it since, I think I'm going to use some connections to return it, I just don't dig shooter or games liek that, I pretty much only seem to want to play sports, I used to always play NHL games with classic settings but this year I made the effort to learn how to use all the controls, it's tough and I got spanked last weekend at a work party but I think it'll be worth it in time.

    anyone else?

It's really not that tough. Timing at the plate will take a little time but once you get it you'll do better.
I'd check out the instruction manual for pitching. Basically once you pick your pitch, select a location hit x. Hold it till it gets up in the red, let go then hit it again once it nears that white line. The closer to that line, the more accurate your pitch will be.
