I'm loving it too! Except for the driving part. Bellingham only has one plow so the roads are going to be crazy. Glad I don't really have to go anywhere. So pretty though and my dog is having fun. :)

Lucky buggers. I have seen snow once, when I was about 6 and only for 10 minutes. I fell over and scraped my knees. It was game over then. I went back to the car crying, I just wanted to go home at that point.

  • More ice than snow here in MA. A lot of folks in New England still without power since Friday.
We just escaped the ice storm. It started about a mile north of us.
    Hold On

We ventured out today and it wasn't too bad considering all the ice. When we got home though, a van in front of our house spun out, backed up, spun out again, etc. for about 5 minutes, and we're on flat ground! If I'd seen that before I don't think I would have even gone out. We're in negative temps with the wind chill, but I'm loving it. My hubby got a few strange looks and comments though since he's still wearing shorts. :)

The snow I don't mind so much... But when the freezing rain comes and it takes me what seems like hours to pry open my car doors, then I have a huge problem with nature. As well as falling on my ass. That's not cool.
  • Yes it was sooo nice! :)

Yep, I'd prefer that to our 4 inches of snow and 2 inches of ice. ;)

We had a long wonderful walk with the dog in the snow today. It's beautiful out! Not so sure about the weekend though with freezing rain and snow and 90 mph gusts! Yikes!

I just hope it's not too crazy up there. I'm driving up on Saturday and going to the Seahawks game on Sunday.

Oh yes! It must be a snow game for Holmgren's last Seattle home game. And, snow is predicted for Sunday!!!! Drive careful!!

You're braver than I am, but they are trying to keep the freeways clear. Drive safely and be sure to check conditions before you leave. Have fun! :) Are you coming to Mt. Baker this season? If so, give us a call. :)

It's supposed to snow up to 12 inches here in MA tomorrow. I'm taking the train to work tomorrow cause the last time I drove in a snowstorm, I-93 was backed up for miles and it took me 2 hrs to go 12 miles. Looking forward to a white Xmas though.

Took us four hours to get home yesterday - a distance of 26 miles (42 Km)... NOBODY here ever has winter tires ('cept us!) and the "steep mountain highway" disabled many vehicles, thus the snowplows were unable to clear the road...yikes! Damn the PNW snow falls! (Although I love 'em)

Bellingham doesn't even have snow plows, but I read they sent a couple up from down south. :) It is beautiful though isn't it? :) Had a fun day walking the dog!

I just worry about the other drivers.

I'll definitely try to make it to Baker this year.
