Wish I could say the same, I'm off to the library to study for a midterm. Should be a great time. Talk to me at this time tomorrow, though, and I'll be enjoying some christmas ales, either celebrating a good midterm or drowning my sorrows

Still #1 in my book ...

    Harpoon Winter Warmer

Winter Warmer was Harpoon’s first seasonal beer. It was designed to be enjoyed during the holiday season.

When you bring a glass of this dark copper ale to your lips to take your first sip you will notice the aroma of cinnamon. There is no aromatic hop added that might overpower the distinct spice scent. The medium body of this beer is formed from caramel and pale malts. These create enough body to support the spices without making the beer excessively rich. Bittering hops are added to counter the sweetness of the malt and spice. The finish of the beer is a blend of cinnamon and nutmeg. The combination of these two spices results in a balanced, pumpkin-pie flavor.

The overall character is a smooth, medium bodied ale spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

  • Twin Lakes Brewery Jubilicious!

Pale ale with lots of cascade hops to balance the maltiness of the caramel, carapils, and Munich malts. Copper color and a little bit of texture from some chocolate malt.

I HOPE it's good anyway! We just brewed 700 gallons of it yesterday and it won't be ready till December 1rst or so.
If it turns out bad, I'll have to leave the country quietly because I calculated the recipe! :D

While we're waiting for that, I'll have a Victory brew St Victorius. Mmmm!! http://www.victorybeer.com/st_victorious.html

I love the Old Fezzwig. And the Holiday Porter. I wish you could buy them seperately, instead of just as part of the Winter Sampler. I don't like the Cranberry or the Cream Stout

It's real good. Kinda like a snow cap I guess. Way better than their Snow Plow, imo.

Ugh... barf. No offense but to me that's what it would taste like if you let rotten cranberry juice sit in a bottle in a car in the hot sun for 2 weeks.

Haha I was coming in to post exactly this. Old Fezzwig is probably my favorite winter beer.

Back when it really was Pete's Wicked Ale, their Winter Brew was hands down the best winter beer out there. Now that he sold it to some bigger company they don't even have a winger brew anymore. It's a shame.

Oh, and Harpoon Winter Warmer is good, but it's literally 10x better on draft - moreso then most other beers.

    Did someone say Jubelale?

    *drools

My bass player just tapped a Harvest Ale at his brewery so we've been getting free fresh growlers of that. Can't complain.
