Arachnophiles, what kind of spider is this?

I have only seen them outside, but I don't think I have ever seen them before at my old house. I just moved a couple months ago. They give me the heebee-jeebeez. It looks deadly dangerous.

she wont hurt you. shes a harmless orb spider.

just imagine if big hairy tarantulas spun webs. now just imagine walking into a web spun by a big hairy tarantula.hahahahaha!!!

I don't know what kind of spider it is but that is a beautiful photograph.
I love the sharpness of the web versus the kaleidescope in the background.

The pictures show the spider with its long black legs wrapped around the body of a dead bird suspended in its web.

There are other photos out there. The pic is real. As for your Goliath, no, thanks. I don't generally mind spiders, but that thing is a BEAST! It reminds me of an old oven mitt, with fangs.

i recently took a pic of a spider very similar to that one on bribie island, just north of brisvegas in queensland. it wasnt as big as that spider appears to be nor was it killing a bird. twas just swinging in the breeze on its web.

I dont know what kind of spider that is but what I do know is I got Black Widows all around my new house. Iv seen 4 in the past 2 week. Before that I had never seen one in real life. Its easy to tell which one is the male and which is the female. Female is much bigger than the male.

now there is a dangerous spider. especially for children and the elderly. but they arent agressive.

but you have to admire an animal thats sometimes known to eat her mate after sex.
