Just, one of the greatest movies ever made...still even 14 years after it was brilliantly made, it’s one of my favorites.

    I was watching that. :) I almost always have to turn it off before they get to the end though. Unless I'm in the mood for a cry.

    that movie is just about perfect. ive seen it so many times cuz it is always on and it never gets old. the soundtrack is great and tom hanks' performance is one of the all time greats.

    Both great movies. I do think Tom Hanks was very worthy of an oscar.

    Travesty? That's what is so great about opinions eh..I too like Shawshank but feel it's not even close to being in the same league as Forrest Gump..

    To each their own. I've only watched Gump maybe 3 or 4 times ever and can't sit through it anymore. I've probably seen Shawshank over 100 times.

    Personally, I think Gump was only the third best movie that year. I liked Pulp Fiction much more than Gump.

    Of course that was back when good movies that people actually saw were nominated for Oscars.
