I'm in the middle of Waging Heavy Peace. It started off strong but now I'm 323 pages in and it's starting to drag a bit... :? I hope it picks up a bit tomorrow. I don't like the feeling that I'm only reading on because I have the goal of finishing the book.&&&&&&&&&&&&&&0

The last book I read (Winter of the World, Ken Follet) lead me through WWII from the perspective of families in Russia, England, Germany & USA....I was so intrigued by the historical fiction that I picked up a non-fiction account of an American family's experience in Berlin as Hitler rose to power. Fascinating stuff so far.The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

Yeah looking forward to the rest of it....I have watched hours and hours of the BBC Documentary The World At War that I bought a few years ago (highly recommended) but going through it in a personal manner as told by Follet and now this non-fiction account is more thought provoking vs. awesome in the true sense of the word. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

Just finished Jay-Z's 'Decoded'. Not going to be everybody's cup of tea, but was right up my street - little bit art, little bit sociology, little bit history, little bit social justice... made me dust off a couple of CDs I hadn't listened to in a long time, and introduced me to some new and new-old music  :thumbup:0

Taking a break from Dreamcatcher and reading this instead...
loving it so far. I love reading about his obsession with music as a child...there are parts that remind of how I was when I was that age..of course not much has changed since then...Show #13 was a lucky one for me....0 -
one of these two is next (not sure which yet, I read the first 15 pages of each):
