Can anyone recommend a hotel within walking distance of the Tweeter Center, I have no idea how to even begin spelling the new name of the place, in Camden. Got tix for the Friday night PJ show and I don't feel like driving back home after.

  • Your best bet may be to take the ferry right at the waterfront back into Philly and stay at a nearby hotel..

You don't wanna be in Camden for a SECOND longer than necessary.

I know. Camden is one scary fucking place. I grew up in Newark and have been in some pretty scary neighborhoods in my day but I don't even dare fuck with Camden.

Stay in Philly. There are two hotel along the waterfront in Philly- Hyatt Regency, which is 5 min or less from the ferry, and the Comfort Inn- about an 8-10 min walk up the same street, by the Ben Franklin Bridge.

If you want to stay in Jersey, don't stay in Camden. Stay at any hotel that is along Route 295. There's a ton of hotels at the exit for Route 73S (Mt Laurel). It's about a 15 min drive to the venue. Very easy to get to and from.

I just want to stay where I can walk to and from the venue. I will probably check out Philly since Camden is worse than Baghdad.

I'm staying at the Comfort Inn. Stayed there for the shows in '06. It's a little pricey for a Comfort Inn and you need to pay for parking. But after two nights of PJ w/o having to get the car it's well worth it.

Edit...Since you are in Philly you do need to take the Ferry over to Camden so you can't technically walk the whole way. ;)

Camden is scary...i went to see PJ there back in 2000. I think it was the E center at the time. The walk to the arena wasn't too far but it seemed forever.

Well for those of us staying in Philly we should meet up before the show and head over in a group.

Last tour, on the walk from the parking lot to the venue, I saw a used needle on the ground. Camden is by far my least favorite place in the Northeast.

But I do recall that show in Camden as being very good. So it wasn't all bad.
