I saw him last night on TV at the Spurs game. He was talking about the Seattle Supper Sonics.....he's so full of shit!

He says......I paraphrase here, a little.....

--I'm sitting here in a beautiful arena here in San Antonio.....Many teams have built facilities like this....blah blah blah......We're waiting on a miracle to keep the Sonics in Seattle. The city of Seattle and the government is not cooperating. We need a miracle.--

Ummmm....didn't the Spurs just ask for $200,000,000.00 for renovate thier "out-dated" arena??????? SEATTLE (this city and it's government) wants the same for Key Arena! But the new crapbag OWNERSHIP wants to move....unless they get a one billion dollar "state of the art" arena. Our city wants the Sonics to stay, but won't bow down to some OK City billionaire that wants to take his new toy home.

Stern, put your helmet on and get in the game. Pay attention to your league that's falling apart. Change the broken business model. Do something to look intelligent!

    Stern is an asshole; the Spurs arena is very new, so if they are trying to get more money that's crazy. I think Ament made great points about the Seattle debacle. Stern just wants to make sure that the Lakers win every year. Watch the refs during those games.

    Where the fuck was Stern back in the 1990's when we renovated the Key? Why wasn't he telling us then that we need a better arena or your team will be gone in 15 years?

    Fucking money grubbing Stern and Bennett. I swear to god, I'd love to bitch slap them both.

    I don't think David Stern could be more of an insult to the city of Seattle and the entire Pacific Northwest region.

    I love how ESPN people are supporting stern on this too. Mike Tirico actually had the audacity to claim that a city makes money on giving money to owners to upgrade/build stadiums. The interesting thing is that NEVER in the history of a city doing this has said city made any money from it. The best thing to do would be to give the team to Seattle, and let them decide what to do with the profits...like rather than give it to the rich m-fing owners maybe use it toward education, police departments, and social causes. Maybe then it would be worth it for a city to actually pony up the cash for a sports team.
