Now I don't even know who you are!! Who are you?

And what the hell does the phrase "I USED to" mean?? Seems odd.

Good point... I'm an English Lit student and I cannot for the life of me see the logic behind that expression.

Seconded. Sad though, when people joke about that shit and then it gets them in the end.

well if the question is whether i know who i am anymore? then my answer is that

my core part, my most inner self is still the same and will always stay no matter what.
as for my habits, mannerisms, and tastes then it always changes

Lois: Thank God everythings alright, I half expected that when we returned you'd owe a lot of money or something.
Peter: How do you "half expect" something?
Lois: I don't know, it's just a turn of phrase.
Peter: How do you turn a phrase?
Lois: God you're dumb, thank goodness for that ass!

That is odd. I hadn't thought of it that way before.

I used to think that most people were cruel, dishonest and untrustworthy. then I thought that I was being too harsh and that most people weren't really like that. seems that I should've stuck with what I used to think

I can't explain the expression. I even tried to look up an explanation, but all I get are tips on how to use it in different contexts.
