Drugs in sports....what do you think about this?

DUESSELDORF, Germany (AP) - Germany's first case of doping in billiards was announced Monday after national champion Axel Buescher tested positive for an EPO masking agent.

Buescher's positive test came at November's German championships, where he captured the carom billiards title, the German Billiard Union said.

Buescher said the masking agent was in prescription medicine he failed to have approved.

The Union suspended Buescher for one year and stripped him of his title after he passed on his right to have the "B" sample tested.

EPO is a blood booster most closely associated with endurance sports, such as cycling, where it has played a central role in several Tour de France scandals.

    i used to do drugs alot of them & watch sports all the time now i just sleep thru them .....

    Similar to the old Satrday Night Live skit, I think there should be league of every sport devoted to reckless drug use. If someone wants to destroy their kidneys to look like The Incredible Hulk for a couple years so they can toss a log further than any man in history, so be it. If someone wants to run the 100 yard dash in 7 seconds and then spontaneosly combust due to the steroids in their system - I'll watch it. Watching people snowboard while drunk as hell would be great entertainment, although from personal experience, I really can't recommend it.

    I hate drugs in sport. Performance enhanching/ recreational what ever, should not be tolerated. Drugs is a massive issue in society, these guys are role models wheather they like it or not. They should not be doing it.
