so, what's the date??? what's the date?? have you guys picked a date yet???
No date yet... waiting for final paperwork on my divorce to get cleared in Canada. Crossing my fingers that it will be done within the next 4 weeks!
LOTS of paperwork these days!! I love the feeling of things actually being 'in motion'! It never ceases to amaze me how 'out there' things seem until you start the ball rolling... then it just becomes 'life'
I was talking to my brother the other day ... he said he couldn't remember the last time I was in such a 'good place' in life... I was very happy to tell him I've never been happier
So... will we plan a party in NYC?? Sounds like a great idea to me!!!
Exercising her will to lose control...

I can't believe how on the ball you guys are. Already with the rings and a dress. WOW!
I'd love to recommend a venue, but the weather won't be right for where I got married the first time (The Grotto at St. Edwards State Park) and the flower shop that had a little chapel area in which I was married the second time is now a kitsch shop - Perfect.
I'm so excited for you two. Keep keeping us updated. I love it.
Walking can be a real trip

Hey You! you missed trivia last week! See you wednesday??
I think the 'venue' will be a beach if weather at all permits! Either Myrtle Edward's or Alki!
I was thinking that if the weather's poor we could have the ceremony at The Green Room

I just want pizza in an old time pizza joint. A pure NY place. Brick oven that's 900 degrees. Thin crispy crust, good cheese. I always hear about Lombardi's Pizza....I think I want to go there....
well not too many are brinck oven, but there's a couple. mr. dream entioned a place he thinks it should be, can't remember the name now......but lombardi's it can be if that's what ya want!

Wednesday??? Perhaps. I might just stick with water this time.
A beach wedding, in Seattle, and not in July or August, huh?
I recommend keeping the vows short. The beach is always lovely, no matter the weather.
The Green Room, however (IMHO) would be legendary. I don't think many bar weddings happen in the city. I think those are usually saved for towns like Concrete.

As an Italian recently transplanted to NYC, my money is on "Pizza Fresca". It's pricey, but they use only buffalo mozzarella on their pizza, it is very authentic Italian, and they have one of the best wine lists in the city.
I'd love to treat you both as my wedding present
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Well, this is just a selfish thing on my part....Jams can't eat anything with wheat in it....so I'm sure the whole thing woul dbe off limits for her.
I've just always thought....If I'm going to NY, I'm going to have some NY pizza!

and jams loves you and i am sure would agree...it's a *must have* if you can! so do!
and the place my husband recommends, besides the one in brooklyn that i mentioned earlier...is i think? near coney island, and an authentic old-style brick oven pizzeria.
btw - meme......i think NY pizza...and authentic italian pizza, not necessarily the same, nor desired, thing. i actually like most NY pizza moreso than the pizza in italy. now there's plenty more food i love in italy, which we do get damn close here.......but i think there are just different *styles* and tastes of pizza. and i don't say this to diminish your italian perspective on it at all ......just sayin'.......and that DOES sound awesome.
maybe we could all grab pizza before our big NYC meet-up/belated wedding celebration?
i wasn't suggesting otherwise. i honestly couldn't care less one way or another, was just discussing the differences...and sharing info with sennin. me, i love to try new places...and in NY there's a pizza joint on practically every block. although i've lived in this area my entire life and eaten so much pizza in NYC and out-lying areas...i've yet to decide on a *best*.....even close to home, i have different places for margherita, grandmas, scilian, a regular slice, etc. i just LOVE pizza. and jams can try some wonderful wheat-free italian dish.

Buffalo Mozza? They make that here on Vancouver Island. They use water buffalo... So if sennin and jamaniac make it to Victoria, I'll nab them and take them to the water buffalo farm, which is surrounded by wineries!!

Absolutely, on both counts.
But I'm only going to Pizza Fresca
Surely she can talk the owner into making a gluten-free pizza for her!
Haha! That would be pretty tough! It would probably have to be cooked in a different oven...made in a different area....
Maybe she could bring her own pizza?!
I'm hungry now!
Having Gluten Free pasta for lunch!
