    I'm not a huge baseball fan (and my team is the Brewers), but since I live in Minneapolis I can say that the general feeling is the Twins should have gotten more out of the deal. I think a lot of people think the Twins should have dealt him to the Yankees for Phil Hughes or traded him last year in order to get more for him. I've heard that Santana wants a $150 million contract with the Mets...I think that's absurd.

    I'm assuming you're a Mets fan? Are you pumped?

    the mets should give him whatever the fuck he wants. we're desperate for a pitcher like him. I'll chip in whatever cash i can scrape together. I'll also pick him up at the airport and give him a hand job if necessary. yea, that desperate.

    baseball is ridiculous - if you can't afford the players why have a team? How many times can teams like the Marlins and the Twins sell off their best players?

    I'm actually a big Yankee fan. But as a Yanks fan I am pumped because Santana going to the Mets lets us keep Phil Hughes, Melky, Kenneday, Marquez etc, and keeps Santana from going to the Red Sox. It will also be nice to at least watch Santana in NY.

    It's basically a wash as far as facing Santana. Yanks will see him same amount of times in the regular seaon being that they always have a few series vs. the mets.

    The Twins owner is one of the richest men alive. Not to mention the fans have proven that when they compete they'll show up. This is nothing like a big city swindle.
