NFL draft is Saturday...

St. Louis Ram are on the clock.
My guess,....Matt Ryan is going to fall further than many expect. Not sure I would have taken Jake Long #1. I'm just hoping Giants take a stud LB.

What time does the draft start? Last year it was 12 and lasted forever. I think I heard 3pm start time this year???????????????

Save for Steve Smith, Julius Peppers, and Jon Beason, my Panthers could use some help at nearly every position. I think the secondary is the biggest weakness right now, so it wouldn't surprise me if they draft a CB or S.

I can not wait for the draft Saturday!!! I agree, the NYG need a STUD LB but also need to look into the secondary with Wilson gone. And eve though the CB stepped up during the playof run they could use some CB help as well.

Do you think they trade Shockey?

What do you think happens with Chad Johnson?

Will the Lions trade Roy Williams?

Will the Skin's strike a deal for a WR?
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

Any team that needs a QB and is smart needs to draft Brian Brohm.

No doubt, Brohm is legit. Being a NJ guy, where do you see Ray Rice going? I am thinking middle of the second round.

To the Bears in the 2nd rd......unless a higher rated QB falls into their laps

3pm est....Saturday and its only rounds 1 & 2, instead of the 1-3. Also, only 10 minutes between picks in the 1st round, as opposed to 15mins

Yes, and thank God they shortened the time limit. It got to be horrendous waiting on teams thinking they might get a call for a trade...

only if McFadden hasn't been taken.....from the things I've read, Al Davis has a mancrush on McFadden and would probably trade up to make sure he can get McFadden

Has the NFL cleared the Rams to begin contract talks with anyone yet???

  • Heard the Saints want to move up to take Glenn Dorsey, and the Jets want to move up to take McFadden. So the Rams could trade down if either of those 2 options are viable. But I see them taking Baby Howie Long.

I think they said they won't allow St. Louis to negotiate yet.

That's what I meant.....they should be allowed to pursue talks with whoever they want......and I'm not a Rams fan.

I agree, if they want, they should be able to say they are taking Chris Long, Atlanta is up next.

  • I'm probably more excited for this draft than I have ever been in previous years, but fuck man, my 'phins need everything. There are even rumors now (though I refuse to believe them) of a Jason Taylor trade.

This is like the football equivalent of rebuilding after Katrina.

Seriously...it's like building from scratch. Hopefully for them Ronnie Brown comes back 100%, he was turning into a beast. What about Ricky Williams?

My Pack are pretty strong throughout, but they need some youth infusion at the CB and OT positions, some backup QB help and maybe a starting free safety. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I actually read some mock drafts with them taking Brohm! I wouldn't mind that, some competition never hurt.

I am allowed to make "bad-taste hurricane jokes". Hurricane Andrew demolished the house I grew up in and left us homeless and camping in our own driveway for months. I shared twin sized inflatable mattress with my 2 siblings. We ate only food supplied to us by the National Guard or the Salvation Army. Everything I owned was destroyed and practically everybody I knew moved away. The city of Homestead looked like a nuclear weapon has been detonated.

That still wasn't as bad as the '07 Dolphins' season.

I hope so but it isn't looking good. He wants OUT.

  • He's expressed desire to play in Dallas, but could you imagine him and TO on the same team? Fuck man, Dallas would have to be crazy.

Washington wanted him for a first round draft pick, but that got shut down.

I think Miami is a good place for him. He was born here and spends a great deal of time here. We could sure as fuck use him.
