So who do you WANT to play in the World Series?

Not who you think will make it...but who do you WANT to be playing in the Series this year?

I'd love to see the Dodgers vs. Red Sox. Both are incredibly historic franchises yet they have never faced each other in a World Series. This one would be full of great subplots too...Manny returning to Boston...Torre facing his old nemesis (and vice versa)...Boston vs. LA in the second championship series of the year (see Lakers vs. Celtics)...

If my Dodgers don't make it though, I'd like to see the Rays and Brewers, just because it would have been so unexpected at the beginning of the year!

    id like to see Cubs/Red Sox. Im stumped, Id love to see the Cubs break their curse, but at the same time Jason Bay is from B.C. so I would love to see him win a world series.

    i want a freeway series....it's never happened and the other multi-team cities/regions have already happened (ny, chicago, bay area, kc-st louis)

    whomever makes the ws, as long as it isn't in florida i'll be ok with it :)

    If my White Sox don't make it, I'd be cool with the Brewers, Phillies or Rays making it..

    In fact, if the Sox loose to the Rays, I'm going rooting for the Rays. They deserve it.

    They'd probably be nervous about an all-Chicago or all-LA world series. I remember the Subway Series in 2000 was one of the lowest-rated series ever, if not the lowest since nobody outside the New York area watched.

    I don't know. Chicago has a lot of fans.. The White Sox 05 series was rated low, but only because we had the Houston Astros to drag us down.. :p

    right, the city/metropolitan area will probably give it a rating over 20 but the national figure could be low because they think nobody outside of Chicago cares, which is what happened when the mets played the Yankees.

    definitely, anything to mention the billy goat or steve bartman going against the team that broke the so-called curse of the bambino. They'd also go apeshit for a Dodgers-Red Sox World Series. Joe Torre managing Manny Ramirez, Nomar, Derek Lowe vs. the Sox.

    i have to pull for the cubs, because well... they haven't won a series in 100 years. how can you not pull for a team that has not won a WS in 100 years!??!?

    but it is also too tough to root against torre.

    although i hate boston, i think a boston/cubs or dodgers series would be insane.

    Red Sox against......I don't care. I guess it would be pretty neat to see a Sox/Cubs series -- but there is no way that will happen. Sox/Dodgers would be great too just so Beckett could fling a fastball at Manny's big ol' melon head

    But, wait, that might not be worth the risk of Manny potentially being the hero in the series and I would rather be poked in the eye with a fork than to have that happen
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    Rays and Cubs, with the Cubs winning. The Rays are an exciting team to watch but I just want to see the Cubs win.
