and the woulda coulda shoulda logic of yours is amusing
the afc gets it done, can you wrap your "brain" around that?
its just too easy with the non football fansLet's not be negative now. Thumper has spoken0 -
As a Jets fan , of course i want the Pats to lose, I hate them. But if they do win, Good for them, what an Accomplishment !
Except for Bruschi, he can fuck off!0 -
I hate the Pats and I hope they lose...but, I think they're going to kick the Giants' asses. Not that that makes me Nostra-fucking-domus."Almost all those politicians took money from Enron, and there they are holding hearings. That's like O.J. Simpson getting in the Rae Carruth jury pool." -- Charles Barkley0

'woulda coulda shoulda' logic isn't what i'm trying to use here. You said that to pick the NFC to win any of the last 5 superbowls would be 'retarded.' I'm explaining that while the AFC champion has been the better team over the last few years, the NFC team could easily have won any of the games....because it's just one game.
as a Pats fan, you should understand this better than most. not many people gave them a chance against the Rams in '01.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. Hear. Now. 2022: Camden, 2024: Philly 2, 2025: Pittsburgh 1

Patriots apply for trademarks on 19-0
Saturday, Feb 2, 2008 9:19 am EST
New England Patriots
According to the New York Post the New England Patriots are suffering from premature exhilaration.
The arrogant New England team has already applied for trademarks on "19-0" and "19-0 The Perfect Season." Three days before they beat the San Diego Chargers, and more than two weeks before Super Bowl XLII, the team egotistically filed paperwork with the US Patent and Trademark Office to cash in on sales of T-shirts, caps, posters and all kinds of Pats paraphernalia.
The Post, ever confident that Eli Manning and company will squash the Pats on Sunday, spent $375 for its own trademark application Thursday — on "18-1."

The plot thickens:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/specials/playoffs/2007/02/02/bc.fbn.superbowl.patrio.ap/index.html
A member of the Patriots' video staff taped the St. Louis Rams' last walkthrough before they played in the 2002 Super Bowl, an unidentified source told the Boston Herald for a story Saturday.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3226465
And now, Walsh, 31, an assistant golf pro on Maui, might be positioned to further pull back the curtain on the Patriots' taping history, expose where and how they gained advantages and, perhaps even, turn over video proof.

NOCODE#1 wrote:actually that is an intelligent observation, anyone who ever picks the nfc vs the afc in the sb the past 5 is fucking retarded
so yea anyone who picks the giants doesn't know anything about football
do we really need to examine that "close" loss by the giants?
1.) no kickoff return for a td will happen thats 7
2.) the garbage td in the final 2 minutes thats 7
so actual score of the close loss Pats 38 giants 21
and that seems about right this time
1. how do you know there won't be a kickoff return?
2. I didn't realize that only the first 58 minutes count. It was nice of the Pats to make the Giants feel good about themselves and score that TD in the 2 minutes they played that didn't count. The TD that made it a 3 point game.
Can I play this game too?
Sam Madison won't get hurt, and miss 2 plays, which led to Moss being covered by Butler and being wide open on 2 consecutive plays. That's 7 points, so the Giants actually won that game, 35-31. WOOHOO0 -

um the pats have gave up charity tds before (eagles superbowl less than 4 minutes to go)
the pats outplayed the giants when it counted
it wont be close

2 score lead with less than 2 minutes left is handling your opponent in this league of parity. wake the fuck upLet's not be negative now. Thumper has spoken0 -

FIGHTING HELLFISH RESPONSE: A fact based on what? Going into week 17, did you think they would give up a kickoff return that week? Or did you think there was no chance there would be a kickoff return that week too? Things happen. Who the fuck knows what's gonna happen week to week. Who would have bet that Brady would have one of his worst games as a pro in the AFC Title game 2 weeks ago, against the Chargers B team? And that they would still win a game with Brady throwing 3 picks
um the pats have gave up charity tds before (eagles superbowl less than 4 minutes to go)

FIGHTING HELLFISH RESPONSE: I agree. the Pats are the better team, there is no doubt. That doesn't mean they'll win tomorrow, but as a Giant fan, I have no problem admitting the Patriots are a better team, top to bottom. The better team doesn't always win though. Even the most ardent Patriot fan would have to admit that the Rams were the better team going into Super Bowl 36.
it wont be close
FIGHTING HELLFISH RESPONSE: Again, I have to agree. I'm a huge Giant fan, but I don't expect them to win, though I hope they do. In fact, i didn't expect them to beat the Packers. I really thought beating the Cowboys was "our Super Bowl". I thought Eli would play like shit in the cold, the Packers would roll over them, and the Giants would build on a great season. A season that saw them play well beyond expectations. And when that game ended, we were talking about point spreads. My family, Giant fans all, were saying it would be 6-8 points. I said it would be 13.5, which is exactly what it opened at, before dropping to 12
please be a man and post after the whooping
FIGHTING HELLFISH RESPONSE: If you know anything about me, you would know I'll be posting on here, win or lose, as soon as I get home from my dad's Super Bowl party tomorrow night, or Monday morning, whichever comes first. I'm the guy who lost a bet re: Yankees vs. Indians and had:

2 score lead with less than 2 minutes left is handling your opponent in this league of parity. wake the fuck up
FIGHTING HELLFISH RESPONSE:For one thing, I am the fuck awake. Secondly, doesn't matter if you're up 56 with 2 minutes to go. It's the final score that matters. Plenty of teams have scored twice in the last 2 minutes. They have this thing in the NFL called the onside kick
