Does anyone send out their laundry?

I was just curious...how do they charge? Is it by the piece, like with dry cleaning?

I fucking hate laundry. That's why I want to know. :D

i sent my work shirts out because i suck at ironing, but everything else i do myself. my apartment complex has a laundry room in the basement which makes it so convenient. and it's pretty cheap too.

    oh, ok.

But I don't wanna do my laundry! You don't understand. Laundry is the only thing standing in the way of a life of pure bliss. :D:p

I'm kidding, of course. But if/when I start back at work full time, that is definitely a luxury I wouldn't mind springing for!

It's a luxury I can't do without, that's for sure! Drop it off in the morning, come get it at night & it's all fluffed and folded. Awesome.

The folding is really what gets to me. I don't know why I have this mental block against folding laundry, but I just can't stand it!

Seriously, WTF are we talking about laundry for. It's not like you have to take it to the stream and beat it on a rock. The fucking machine does ALL the work. He probably wants to hire an "ass wiper", too.

Yep, they charge by the pound and will charge a nominal fee for metal hangers if you don't provide your own. If you're going to do it, first take a single load -- maybe two -- to the prospective place to see how they do. As for being lazy, gimme a break. I look at is like an oil change. How many people change their own oil? I'm guessing not too many. And if you think about it, that's a job that only takes an hour every couple months. Laundry takes that long every week. As soon as I get back into a position where I'm working more and making more money I'll be dropping my clothes off again.

All the more reason. Laundry is women's work.

I guess by sending you laundry out it gives you more time to do the important things in life like surf for porn.

Yeah, there are plenty of services people regularly pay for that could be done at home. We all have things we are "lazy" about. If you can afford it and it saves you time to do something you'd prefer, then go for it.

And people wonder why we have an illegal alien problem.
