Ok so today got better as it went on. :) Yes, we are knee deep in the terrible twos, but she is still such a sweetheart and I love almost every minute with her. :) She cracked me up numerous times today, and that made up for all of the crap in the morning, lol. :)

And when my husband came home, he brought milk (which we were out of), some flowers for me and a Spongebob balloon for Annabelle. :)

I'm sorry about other people's bad days. Hopefully tomorrow will be better all the way through!

Terrible twos are a bit of a myth. :)

We tend to call them the "ME' period.

If you give them a LOT of attention for this brief 6 months or so, they aren't so 'terrible'. They are testing and trusting and learning--- give in to a point but be firm. Talk to them like a peer-- she will (at some point) understand you.

FYI--- This period will again emerge at 10-15 years... enjoy!!!

haha, I have actually started taking her for walks up and down the street so she will nap every day. I mean, literally, I make her walk next to me and hold my hand. No stroller. :D She loves it, and she pretends we're being chased by crocodiles and stuff (lol) but it's mostly just nap insurance for me. I had a 5 day period a couple weeks ago during which she only napped once, and it really freaked me out. So now I make sure she is good and tired. :)

How old is she? My kids dropped the naps @ 18 months-- we put them to bed at 7 or (latest) 8 pm. Invest in room-darkening blinds-- kids need their sleep!

Good for you for wearing her butt out w/the walks-- enjoy that time because before you know it, she will be shaving her legs!!

She really is quite good and getting better every day at listening. We can talk her down from a tantrum really quickly now and it's clear that she is just testing the waters. She is so smart and understands so much, and I think that helps. I'm extremely patient, so that helps too.

lol, yeah I can't wait for adolescence. *shivers*

She'll be 2 a week from today. I can't believe how fast this time has gone.

We put her to bed at 9 and she gets up at 8...so as long as she doesn't sleep in or have a really lazy day, she still needs a good 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon. And she especially needs it when I run around outside with her all morning. Unfortunately, I feel like I need one after that sometimes, too. :D

    lol!

We seriously worry sometimes that she has set the bar so high with sleeping well, behaving well and just being so damn perfect in every way (hehe) that if we have a second kid, he or she will have to live up to an unfair standard. :D

Maybe your second kid will be the same, but won't throw a cup at your head. What then!?

    perfect child :)

Our daughter slept from 8pm until 8am at 3 months... she was truly the perfect baby... Now... at almost 12... I pray that she gets her period!
