What kind of sick bastard beats a 72 yr old woman to death?

:(

This happened reeeally close to my house. It makes me feel kind of awful to think that I was just sitting here minding my own business while this was happening just footsteps away. :(

No :( And the weird thing is that there was no sign of robbery or of forced entry.

Some people are just sick. With no forced entry or robbery I wonder if it was a family member.

you know, i never really wanted to say anything but after reading this post, i just have to tell you. when we were in chicago, greg had whispered to me when we were walking towards the aragon that he had always wanted to know what it was like to beat someone senseless.

This....Baby shot in drive-by...got me a little welled up about an hour ago...what the fuck is wrong with people is right.

Also...there was a double murder about five doors down from me when I first moved to this house. It was pretty disturbing. Turned out to be a mentally unstable guy (duh) off his meds...killed his elderly mom and dad and stabbed his sister a bunch of times...if I'd come home about 10 minutes later, I'd have been driving down the street when she came running out of her house bleeding, being chased by this guy...at least it wasn't random....

Hopefully, Brain of J.Lo, the fact that there was no robbery points to the fact that the killer knew her, and there isn't some crazy random killer in your hood.

Yeah, I sort of take some solace in that, for the reason you said...but then it makes me feel horrible to think about the fact that a person's own family member or even an acquaintance would kill them. :(

damn, that's so eerie. feel so bad for her family.
i wouldn't know what to do if i was in that neighborhood knowing the killer is still walking around freely.

I get ya...I felt kinda guilty for thinking that for some reason, but it's only human nature to want to feel safe...and it's hard to feel safe if someone is randomly killed in your neighbourhood. I also know what you mean about the family member thing...the thought of anyone dying at the hands of someone they love and trust is heartbreaking :(

Very sad story, however I one day this crime will show up on TruTv: Frorensic Files and there I'll see this crime solved.
