world's most expensive new book

i saw this in yahoo news. it's the world's most expensive brand-new book, about michelangelo. the cover is made from marble from his favorite quarry and velvet like what is used in la scala opera house. all hand stitched with silk thread. costs $150,000!!

    That is obscene and awesome in equal measure.

    Doesn't look like $150,000 worth though.

    that it is. with all the things one could do with $150K, to spend it all on one book is too much. looks freaking gorgeous though.

    it takes 6 months to make, so i guess they factor the time spent and the craftsmanship into account for the price. crazy stuff!

    I'm gonna make a book with a cover made out of marble from an abandoned building across the street next to Michael Angelo's Italian Buffet, put a velvet Elvis on it...and sell it for $150!
