    certainly, can't blame him...

maybe, he'll ask pj to do the soundtrack? :D

As much as I love Pearl Jam, there's no reason for them to do this soundtrack. They certainly don't have the style for an atmospheric flick like this, it requires dark and somber tones with a quirkiness that the band doesn't really have.
  • Ugh... I might have been spoiled by animation as a kid, but I really, really, really, really cannot stand versions of Alice in Wonderland with live people in them.

    Really.

  • AWESOME!

i think burton is a perfect fit for directing such a film...and you know all too well my love for depp and rickman. :) fantastic.

    i just hope it isn't a musical. ;)
i STILL haven't watched sweeny tood, i just dislike musicals THAT much. :p

After Sweeney Todd, I hope that it is a musical! And I don't usually like musicals, but after Todd I am a convert!

you haven't seen sweeney todd yet???

haha trust me, i can't STAND musicals (chicago and moulin rouge gave me brain a rash)....it was purely out of my love for burton/depp/rickman that i went, but god it was so good! it's a feast for the eyes. bloody as all hell (understandably lol) but gorgeous :)

as for this movie, i don't think it's a musical haha it's live action and animation....should be trippy as all hell! something tells me many theaters will be cloaked in a haze of weed smoke hahaha

seriously, i know...i love burton.....depp...bonham carter.....but musicals, ugh. i DID see chicago and moulin rouge. sadly i've seen many musicals, and then i realized.....WHY do i even rent these things? i can't remember the last one i started watching, and for once i said 'enough!'...stopped watching, and haven't watched a musical since. they just soooo annoy me. perhaps one day i'll sit down and watch sweeney todd......and yea, i heard it is truly bloody, so yea.....we'll see.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

hahaha touche! well it's like the same reason i haven't seen passion of the christ...it's a guaranteed bummer, and hell i know how it ends haha

i totally feel you about the musicals though. it's a pleasant surprise, and johnny's voice isn't all that bad either! :) leave it to tim to make a musical not horrid haha

and johnny rocks the stripe like nobody's business :p

ohhhh myyyyy.......the passion of the christ is BRUTAL. obviously, you know it is....but truly, i've never seen it all depicted SO brutally. there is a particular scene, with a particular sound effect ...let's just say.....extremely disturbing. saw it in the theatre, and no, would not see it again.

as i said, one of these days i will get in the proper frame of mind and sit down and watch it. my husband was surprised i haven't wanted to watch it b/c he knows how i love burton...and yet, he hasn't pressed to watch it and i don't think he's watched it on his own. anyhoo...yea....we have a copy for when the mood strikes. :p

yeah i have no interest in seeing that movie, ever. a friend of mine said she got nauseous watching it. chicago made my stomach turn, but for other horrific reasons  haha

that's my feeling about into the wild, i need to be in the right frame of mind and mood. it'll happen, just sometime lol lemee know what you think should you decide to watch it! :)

Man a Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland should be pretty trippy. Sounds cool though.

My husband and I have long awaited a movie adaptation of the American McGee's Alice (video game), but this will be SOOOOOO much better.

What I am honestly looking forward to in this movie most is Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts. Holy shit, that will be amazing, no doubt.
