the odds

of my dad traveling to spain today, been over 10 years since he's gone, dropped him off at the airport this morning....he was all anxious and everything, traveling on his own (he's 75 but still has it together, but even still, is a bit nervous since usually me and my sis travel with him and our mom and take care of everything.

and i just hear about this:

the thought of him hearing about this when he changes planes in chicago.....eek. i feel so bad for those people who died and their families :(

just had to get that all out, i know his flight will be okay, but just weird coincidence i suppose.

    thanks. yeah i'm glad he didn't know about this before he left, and hopefully he doesn't hear on the flight until he gets into chicago. we're gonna call him as soon as he lands and let him know what's up, i'd rather he hear from us than just from some tv set.

    yeah it's scary shit, i've been on spanair before, those planes are so old, my best friend and i were spooked being on them.

    I flew to Chicago a few weeks after 9-11 and W was speaking at O'Hare I kept thinking to mysefl "well if they want to kill him heres there chance" I was a friggin mess getting on the plane and looking around

    get ouuutta here! wow my bro in law and I were just watching it and he goes Olga (the one you met at msg) was traveling to Spain! :eek: She got there already so she's fine but yea... my heart goes out to those who lost loved ones. :(

    whoa that is weird!! thank goodness she's okay, yeah i just feel so awful for those who died and those left behind....what a horrible way to go :(

    i talked to my mom now and she's cool, my sis and i just need to get a hold of our dad when he lands in chicago so he doesn't flip out lol

    i know, isn't that a trip? and thanks, yeah i'm sure it'll all be okay, just more worried for my dad's sake, i feel bad if he's all freaking out by himself

    yeah i saw some pics on yahoo, one had a body on side of the road :(

    my sis called iberia just to see if his flight would be delayed as a result, they said no but that all flights to NYC and DC are being held. makes me wonder if there's something else going on...scary times we live in, no doubt
