ironic with the foodie thread that was busy today....we're all so very lucky to have access to good food.

that's a reminder to *pray* in thanksgiving... or simply reflect on one's blessings...whether it be food on the table, family & friends or the gift of life.

every time i make a trip to the grocery i truly appreciate the fact
that i can buy whatever i want, and as much as i want.

a luxury not afforded to all.

    that is just beyond sad.
    Nice shirt.
  • yup. not even the poorest of the poor in the US will ever die of starvation while in other parts of the world you pretty much have to be the richest of the rich NOT to.
  • And also we have such a variety of food. We could buy most of what we want if not be able to grow it. It's nice that we can also say 'what shall we have tonight, hun? Chinese, Italian...'. :)

saw that on the news yesterday----pretty shocking.

And yes, good to be reminded of how "good" most of here have it.
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me

what also tripped me out is people actually paying for those 'cookies'. desperate times and all that
  • article's gone, but the sentiment stays the same, especially for the thanksgiving holiday. i'm thankful for a *lot* of things in my life, and with the economy and life being so tenuous at best, can never count blessings enough.

    happy thanksgiving to everyone :)
