Is the Dark Knight a drunk?

I gave in and saw Batman friday night. I'm done with this series until Keaton comes back as Batman as a senior citizen. He's still be better than Bale. That low voice is a joke, epecially at the end, he couldnt finnish the syllables to a single word in the drony low pathetic mummble. Every time Bale spoke as Batman I just could keep from laughing as I imagined he drank a little too much with Alfred att he local pub. Come on, Alfred can pit a few down i'm sure.
Also, for such a big budget flick, I can belive the terrible editing cuts (Bale continued talking through one cut where his mouth wasnt moving in the second shot), the "city of Chicago" sign in one shot (WTF?! chicago isnt gotham), and his beach-ball sized head in that stupid mask. The suit was like an armored truck. overkill if you ask me.
Sorry, I had to rant.
It just seems like everybody liked it. Am I the only one who thought it was pretty ordinary???

Yea when he's talkin to the Joker at the end the voice is a little over the top, the rest of it didn't bother me like it did so many others. Is it a perfect film? No. But it is exciting and well made
I think when something gets so much attention and makes tons of $$$ it is an easy target.0 -

Funny how someone mentioned Kilmer as one of their favorites. Personally, I think he was the best Bruce Wayne. He played that part very well when comparing it to the comic book take of Bruce Wayne.
The best overall Batman though is Bale...no doubt about it0 -

just b/c i think a flick is really good does NOT mean i will pay 2x to see it in the theatre. i have nevr done so in the past, and not about to start now with tickets at $10.50 a pop. i will rewatch when released on DVD.
ledvedderman, that would be me.and yes, he was my all-time fave until bale took over the role. it's still close, but overall...nolan's films are just sooo much better, period, that it makes it even easier to choose bale as a fave.

I just feel that when thinking back on the movie the next day, I can barely remember the order of events because it seemed like so many random sets and transitions. Nothing stood out to me with the exception of the Joker, who did a good job. Just a good job, not an oscar job.
And like i said, the editing was pathetic. There were mistakes and weird jump cuts. the momvie flowed fine, but it's continuity could have been adjusted backwards and forwards and it wouldnt have made a difference.
But i really think it's cool that Batman has time to branch out of gotham and save chicago too. A Bat-penthouse!? for godsake, why dont they just call him "FlyingArmoredTruck-man with lots-o-stuff-man"?
Opinion - Bob Ross would make a better Batman.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0
