Question Authority/Think for yourself

I can't stand people who say this or post it in their facebook profile (or something similiar). It seems funny that these "open minded individuals" are just spouting rhetoric like all the "conformists" they bash. Obviously people need to think for themselves and question what is presented to them......i guess what i'm trying to say is that i hate slogans/catchphrases. Like people who insult things through rhymes or things like "you can't spell dumb with DMB" or "you can't spell crap without RAP"



And yes it's a slow day at work.

and no I don't like DMB

    hahaha..........actually i just watched "My So-called life" last week and there is that one episode with the "cool" substitue and he had "question everything" written on the board and was encouraging kids to quit school because it was a prison or something.....and i was thinking "how fuckin lame is this cat?"

    My friend gave me the dvd set to borrow, the show actually holds up pretty well over a decade later

    Well, from my user name clearly states I firmly believe in questioning authority.. but to be honest I really do not understand your post.. or the point you were trying to make.

    I disagree with you ~ I know ALOT of people that do not think for themselves.. they are like sheep being lead along.. they do not question, they do not ~ it seems ~ even think for themselves at times.. they go from their parents home where they were told what to do and how to live their lives.. to their own home where "society" tells them how to live and what is acceptable.. they do not question authority.. they do as they are told, go along with the masses and live life almost as if on auto-pilot. I know people just like this.. co-workers, associates, family members. I think it got alot worst after Septmeber 11th.. no one questioned anything.. you were unpatriotic if you questioned.. I could never live my life without questioning why.. but that is just me.

    i agree with you. seems alot of people are just like sheep being lead along by some bunk ass bullshit artist. think for yourselves people. i thoroughly enjoy my not giving a fiddlers fuck about much of anything attitude. to me that's a huge part of happiness, carefree with the whole who gives a fuck attitude.

    I 100% agree. The people who are saying "question authority" are generally the same people who would love for you to agree with their stance on issues or the "authority" of their liking. It's very ironic.
