Just to kind of piggyback off the "W" thread, which oliver stone movies do you guys like and which ones do you hate?

    Platoon is incredible, best war movie in my opinion
    He has a few other decent ones but most of his movies are awful

    I like Platoon. That's about it.

    He's a bit of a tool. Subtle as a pipebomb.

    Dislike (and even hated in some cases): Any Given Sunday, The Doors, Alexander, U Turn, Natural Born Killers (I like that when I first saw it a long time ago but hate it now. It doesn't stand up well).

    I'm with ya on Natural Born Killers, i don't hate but I like it a lot less now that i'm "grown up"

    I think most of his films are great. My favs are:

    Natural Born Killers
    The Doors
    Any Given Sunday

    Definitely looking forward to Escobar as well!

    Platoon is easily his best film, definitely on my all time top 10. As far as the rest, Born on the 4th of July, Wall Street, Any Given Sunday and Natural Born Killers I enjoyed. I thought Alexander was shit and thought the World Trade Center movie, JFK and Nixon were below average. U-turn I watched in high school, stoned out of my mind, hard to say what I thought about it.

    Platoon, Nixon, Born On Fourth of July, Salvador, JFK, Wall Street, WTC, Any Given Sunday, Talk Show Radio, quality films.

    Salvador, Platoon, Wall Street, Talk Radio, Born on the Fourth of July, JFK, Nixon, and Heaven & Earth are all very good, I think.

    WTC, Any Given Sunday, and Natural Born Killers are pretty good too, but a step down from the ones above.

    I really hate The Doors. U-turn is kind of annoying too. And I've never seen Alexander, but I probably wouldn't like that either.

    My favorite is Nixon, one of my all time favorite films.

    I'm looking forward to W.

    i've only seen a few of his movies, and I liked them all (listed above). the only one I saw that i didn't like was Alexander.
