Basketball Lovers (haters please stay out)

I'd appreciate if the haters stayed out of thread, but i know that all i can do is ask, please stay out.

I'm going to go play some ball in a little bit and i was just thinking about how much i LOVE basketball. I think it is beautiful, and i'm dead serious. I think how fluid the game is is what sets it apart from other sports like football and baseball (i know hockey is fluid too, but i've never gotten into it).

I'm gonna list a rambling (probably incoherent) list of things i love about basketball, please feel free to add on

-the suns from when they got nash until when marion left
-the bulls absolutely refusing to lose to the pacers in game 7 of the Eastern conference finals in jordan's last year with the team
-chris paul luring two defenders to him then tossing an opp to tyson chandler
-a big time blocked shot
-reggie miller torching the knicks
-a 14 seed upseting a 3 seed in the ncaa tourney
-a team like princeton upsetting a big time program which backdoor cuts and good shooting
-magic running a break in his prime
-kidd running a break in his prime
-isiah thomas running the pistons
-rodman grabbing every rebound he can
-the physical dominance of lebron
- a jump shot
- the fact that you can play it even if you are all by yourself
- just every little thing about the game

    so do Oompah-Loompahs
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

i don't watch the nba but i enjoy the occasional buckeye game in ncaa. i more so enjoy playing casually with friends, even though i somewhat suck.

What MSG sounded like when the Knicks were good and can still sound like in an exciting game.

Any game broadcasted by Chick Hearn in the Magic Johnson era.

with the exception of "pride of a champion", everything you listed are amongst my LEAST favorite things about the NBA... not that theres much to like these days...

for me its all about mike, scotty, toni, luc, dennis, steve, bill, dickey, randy, jud, phil, bj, john, etc etc etc... the BEST era to grow up a bball fan... especially in chicago! even college basketball is starting to get corrupted by all the BS that goes on in the pros
