there's just something satisfying to watch favre lose. you can always count on an idiotic favre throw or three (but hey..he's having fun out there).

i'm tired of the excuses that get thrown at him. he cost the packers a super bowl birth last year. he has great stats but he's the reason the packers remained average at best after their super bowl win and appearance. and he'll be the reason the jets stay sub-par as well. he wins, but not when it counts.

go rodgers.

Never thought I'd say this, but now I really don't mind watching him lose.

as a Patriots fan, I have a new appreciation of watching Favre lose ....

But, still, he's been one of the most exciting QBs in my lifetime ... so, his ego issues aside, I'm a Favre fan.

I'm never as good as when you're there.........
  • I relish in it as well

    Can't stand him

He's made so many boneheaded throws and its chalked up to him "Being Favre"

  • I second this post! I bet he's regretting not staying retired now. I love even more how many Jets fans thought they were Super Bowl-bound by trading for this guy. Did you people even watch that horrific pass he through to Coles that Cromartie picked??? Granted it was a nasty pick by Cromartie, but come on. FYI - Brett, you can't throw off your back foot anymore.

As in used to be...As one of the best who USED to play the game...Elway, Young, Namath, Marino, Unitas, Bradshaw, etc. His name belongs with them - in retirement.

I can not argue with this.

I'd argue that Brett Favre is still in the top third, at LEAST top half, of all starting quarterbacks in the NFL right now.

That's easy to say when the other half are God awful.

That is probably true. It just shows how sad the QB play is in the NFL.

so, it's an easy argument, then why should he retire if he's still one of the better quarterbacks?

Sure, he's not as good as he once was, but, he's not embarassing himself on the field ... he's still pretty damn good. I say play on. Just wish he would shut his mouth as he does it.

Three games in is a rush to judgment....teams have been 1-2 and won the Super Bowl, besides some things do take time. He may end up being more like Montana in Kansas City....good, but not great.

for the record, Joe Namath doesn't deserve to be anywhere near discussions involving Brett Favre ...

Namath had exactly 2 seasons where he threw more TDs than interceptions, threw about 50 interceptions more than TDs in his career and had a completion percentage of exactly 50% ....

    He is so incrdedibly overrated.

This is understood, but when you guarantee victory in a game where you were an overwhelming dog you become legend.

Same number of Super Bowl wins as Brett....passed for 4000 yards in a season when it had never been done.....and the Hall of Fame.

I completely understand that moment was amazing ... in a time when NO ONE garaunteed victories (not like now, when everyone else does it every week) ... but, still, I'd take 2008 Favre over any year of Joe Namath.
