bad for so long they had to cheat to win games. NE sucks and i hope they fall flat on their faces tonight.

    Do they really cheat?? I don't know anything about any sports, but how do you cheat in football? Just asking....I hear "Patriots are cheaters" all the time...

    In a nutshell, the NFL allows a certain amount of "cheating". They allow you to watch other teams to see what their play call signals are. They allow you to write the signals down, view them with binoculars, take still photos BUT they don't allow you to video tape them. The Pats used video during the first half of the Jets game, first game of this season. The NFL Commissioner reviewed all 7 tapes and determined the tapes gave the Pats "little to no tactical advantage". The Pats wered fined and fined heavily for what they did, they paid the price. Some people love to keep calling them cheaters. I find it amusing. I'm sure at the height of their dynasty, everyone would be calling the Cowboys the same thing if they were caught taping signals.
    believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

    They got caught with video taping. That's all, have you seen interviews on ESPN where ex-players have said teams do all the time.

    But The Patriots just put a little more effort into their "cheating." Idon't give a rats ass what the fans/people say, as long as ex-players like Mark Schlereth, Sean Salisbury, Ron Jawoski, etc... said they are a great team with a legendary coach. That's all it matter man. They are the real experts, they played the game. Even in the pregame interviews on Fox, Merriman, John Lynch, Tony Gonzalas, etc...all said if they put this off, they are the greatest team ever.

    taping may help you defensively, but you still have to put up the points on the offense to win. I don't watch much NFL at all, but it seemed to have been blown WAY out of proportion. Like Whizbang said, you can watch them all you want, just can't tape it. The whole rule is kinda bogus.
