    i'd probably be more suitable with a cat, as dogs can be too energetic, but i'd prefer to have a dog because dogs are more affectionate and get attached to the owner

    Cats have more personality. Dogs in general are just happy sloppy energetic animals that will do anything for their owner. All cats are different.
