i am going there on spring break from march 29th to april 2nd.
i was wondering if there are any hotels i should be looking at?
really i was just looking at staying somewhere close to catching the train, or downtown or by midway.
and anyplaces i should hit?
i have tix for wicked on sat. cubs tix on monday afternoon. bulls tix on tues night.
and i am big on hitting good local places for food.
i'm so freaking excited. we went to chi town last year and loved it. so glad we are going back.
btw, anyone find it weird that i wanted the Wicked tix and my wife wanted the baseball game tix?

Wicked was so good when I went in Jan. I hope you love it! As to where to stay, I don't know your budget but staying downtown is always fun. Midway isn't in the best of areas, so I wouldn't stay right there. The orange line stops at Midway and will take you to the loop as well. The loop is downtown and all the ELs connect there.
I don't know what kind of food you like, but if you PM me some ideas, I'd love to hook you up with some suggestions. I live in the city, and I know a lot of cool places. If you like thai food, there is a place literally like 2 seconds from wrigley that I go to all the time.. AWESOME and cheap!!
Send me a PM if you need some help.. I'd love to help you out.
dude ure sooooooooo lucky to be going to the coolest place EVER!!! im in love with chicago. and i watch top chef JUST becuz they show scenes from places ive been there!

It takes balls to put out a UKE album!
mmmmm...Cozy Noodles. I miss that place so badly!
I agree, staying downtown is the most fun but if you want to stay near Wrigley there are a couple of Days Inns in the Lakeview area. One is on Diversey and the other is on Broadway if I remember correctly. Of course, neither one of those trains is very close to the train. There are also quite a few hotels around the Grand stop on the Red Line so that would be a good place to look.
Yesss!! Cozy! I go there like once a week, I swear.. its amazing!
I used to live right down Cornelia, in the building next to the El track. We went there constantly. Best cheap meal in the city!

I'm never as good as when you're there.........
Monday Cubs tickets, opening day, what can be better than that. I'll be at the game too. Can't wait. Hopefully it warms up a bit!!

i didnt plan on going to opening day, it just worked out that way. it should be so much fun. i have a feeling we're going to freeze our asses off.
i'll be in section 110 over on the third base side. we'll probably be cheering for milwaukee because we're cardinal fans and root agains the cubs. i'm actually trying to convince my wife, NOt to wear all her cardinals gear to the game.

Nothing like drinking hot chocolate while watching a ball game.
this is our second time visiting. first one was like 4 days. this was four days. with the exception of the cubs, every thing else was new stuff. and we still havent got close to doing everything we wanted to.
i really enjoy this town.
