    woah...that was RAD!!!

    I loved it so much!!!!

    YEAH!!

I'm still surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. When Iron Man starts kicking ass in the 1st suit and when he goes back and starts kicking ass in the new suit, I was like, "fuck yeah, you bitches are toast!"

I want a flying suit of armor! I could just sit expressionless at my desk and blast any motherfucker who walks into my office with a petty HR issue.

Wow, so good. I was surprised how well they pulled it off considering how little actually happens in the film, would've flopped without Downey Jr for sure. About equal in awesomeness to Transformers, except Iron Man just pulls ahead since it never made fun of the concept. Really didn't think I'd like this at all, never really liked the idea of Iron Man, but the film was great great great.

    SPOILER

The after credits scene is a bit confusing though, how will they bring in more superheroes whilst focusing on iron man?

Well, they have pulled off superhero team movies before to some success IMO (X-Men I & II), so it could be done again. Clearly, the focus would be different and it wouldn't be called Iron Man so much as it would be called The (spoiler - can't say).

Check out the recently released Marvel animated movies for an idea. Those are good as well.

Aye, I can see them making a "The *******s" film, but I imagine the iron man fans would feel kinda betrayed having that as a sequel rather than a second Iron Man film.

I hear ya' and I hope they do both. I'd like a 2nd Iron Man movie to also deal with Starks' alcoholism. He was really the first superhero in comics to have such a real human problem, you know, in addition to the constant run-ins with supervillians.

Yeah, I'd like to see how they deal with alcoholism considering Downey Jr's past and everything. I think it would be a bit condescending to have the alcoholism appear and disappear in one film though, it'd need to be an ongoing thing.

I really enjoyed the movie a lot. I thought it was very well done.

As for the end clip. I was mildly disapointed that Samuel L Jackson was cast as Nick Fury. I mean no offense to Samuel but there is one big difference between the two of them. That said i'm sure that will work out fine in the end and Samuel L Jackson will be quite the bad ass nick fury was.

They have a new hulk moving coming out this summer that is supposed to be good and actually do the hulk justice.

then in 2010 and 11 they have a captain america movie coming out, a thor movie coming out and another iron man coming out.

It is possible they might make Henry Pym/Ant Man Movie also but that has not been confirmed

All of this leading into the Avengers movie that Nick Fury alludes to at the end of the Iron Man movie.

right now the Avengers are set to be Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Thor. It seems like they may throw Ant Man in there too and you would think they would want a female super hero too. Not sure who they would use though.

    It should be cool.

Well Nick Fury was based on SLJ in the Ultimate universe. I guess if SLJ gave permission for his likeness to be used in the comic he'd be a bit pissed off at not being cast.

When Marvel relaunched most of their franchises with the Ultimate line, Samuel L Jackson was actually the basis for the new Nick Fury.

Hey now, if Michael Jackson can turn from black to white then Nick Fury can go from white to black. Actually, Marvel has been portraying him as a black man for some time now. Anyway, I hope that neither Thor or Hulk winds up in The Avengers movie. They are way, waaaaaaaaaay too powerful. Who needs Iron Man or Capt. America when you have Thor on your team? It would most likely be ridiculous. I'd prefer to see the likes of Hawkeye, Ant Man, the Wasp, Black Widow, etc...

yeah, but the green lantern didnt become black. a different character, who was black (john stewart, ex marine) took over the mantle of green lantern.

i had no problem with the kingpin being black in daredevil cause i thought it was a good fit (maybe i was wrong about that)

and the Ultimates universe was all about changing the status quo. and for the most part they do a good job. i think a samuel L jackson type nick fury works well.

and dont forget the last person to play nick fury on television was....was... anyone.?.... david hassellhoff. imagine him at the end of iron man..

saw it today and it was off the hook. It had me drawn in the whole time.

The crossovers start with The Incredible Hulk this summer, someone else is making a cameo appearance in it. What was cool in that preview was using the old hulk song from the tv series in the end.

I cant wait for the Thor movie, if they do it right it should be sick and for me theres only one person who I think can play and pull off Thor convincingly and he already has the hammer, he is the King of Kings, The Game Triple H! He's got the look, the build and the attitude.
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...
Watch the nightly news and drink a beer...

umm one problem... he cant act

weve all seen the rocks ability to act on screen... triple H would be no different.... id vote for magnus from the strongest man competitions before triple H :D

he's not a great actor but he can whup some ass tho. The Rock wasnt too bad in Scorpion King and if you look at Thor in the comics he looks much like Triple H...besides hes got the 1st 2 letters covered so he's halfway there T.H...he needs an O and an R. lol :D

Triple H could only be Thor if he got Vince to write the movie for him where he ends up clearly better than all other more-talented, harder-working, less-full-of-themselves Avengers.

Saw it last week, like everyone I thought it was really cool. It's no Batman Begins or V for Vendetta, but it's the best straight-up action flick since the first Spider-man IMO. Downey Jr nailed the character... the movie probably would have been pretty bad if it weren't for what he brought to the table.

It's by no means a thinking man's movie, but get some popcorn and soda and have a good time. And I'm hard to please with these kinds of movies too, so that's saying a lot. :D

    It's also at 94% on RottenTomatoes.com. Wow.
It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win
