Call of Duty 4: xbox live

Just bagged a $40 version of this great game..

the online battles are mind blowing!

weapons are unmatched on any format..

I have 4 different profiles (you have to earn these yes?) but not sure how to set them up..

Tips, tricks, rants and raves welcome..!

oh..and how come you can't get in any vehicles or helicoptors in the multi-player???

    My halo 3 team is top 8 in europe and i know a lot about fps and cod is great fun but little skill heh ;p

    Online is so addicting. Although I have to confess, if I'm bored I'll go into Hardcore Search and Destroy and wipe out all of my teammates with the rocket laungher. Cruel I know but the reactions are hilarious.

    I actually just sold this the other day. Too many glitchers and all around cheaters in the multiplayer part of this game. Either your team gets mauled over or you're on the team that is doing the mauling. It moves too fast, they should slow it down a little and shorten the ranges on a few of the guns IMO.

    I quite liked COD before my 360 crapped out on me. The pacing was pretty frantic at time and like another poster stated, it can be pretty one sided some times but I had a lot of fun. When the 360 gets repaired, I'll play with you.


    I got very tired of Halo 2 and moved to Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. I played that game to fucking death. I just had a lot more fun on it. I really haven't had an urge to go back to Halo at all. Unfortunately though, I haven't had the chance to play BF: Bad Company.

    Looking forward to COD: World at War. Although I think they may be over doing it with the WW2 games. But I understand why that war is the main focus of many fps.

    I was reading about the new COD last night. It was kinda funny. I was talking with some friends last year and said that there should be a pack of dogs as a perk. The new one the 7 kill streak is a wild pack of dogs :)

    Nope :)

    3 kills is a recon plane (similar to the radar I'm guessing)

    5 kills is an Artillery strike

    7 kills is the reckless dog pack

    And there are a flamthrowers, flak jackets that will lessen the 5 grenades being tossed at you.

    Sounds and looks pretty cool from what I saw.

    the new upcoming COD seems like its bogged down with relaoding your weapon all the time..

    the thing i asloo like about COD4 is the ability to talk to fellow gamers across the globe at 2am in the morning...

    this is very much a "guy" thing...

    whether you are a yank, a brit, israeli, arab, german...

    we talk trash and shoot up the place..

    kind of our version of the old fashion "Kum-bi-ya" and 'I'd like to teach the world to sing"....stuff but more like:

    "Crunch! ratatatatatatattatatatatata, booooooooooooooom!"

    The special Edition of COD5 looks pretty good. I think I'll avoid this one though, just don't feel too into it.

    Ha ha. Some guys gamertag in one game was 'a passing hobo' so eveytime he killed me it came on screen 'You were killed by a passing hobo'

    Hopefully they'll figure out a way to make sure the tanks aren't too overpowered. With some of the perks that the tanks can have, I don't have too much of a problem envisioning two of three tanks laying down an alternate firing pattern that is unstoppable.
