Whats everyone thoughts on the show?

I thought that the first two series where brillant.
The third one was good and the fourth was a bit iffy.

Will there be a fifth?

    Love the show; always leaves you wanting more and Dennis Leary is brilliant in it.

    The show is decent. I agree that the first couple of seasons were better than the last couple. There should be a new season coming eventually.

    I've been wondering if the writer's strike put the new season on hold for a few months. Who knows.

    I'm pretty sure it's coming back for a fifth season. I also agree that the first few couple of seasons were better than the last.

    Sadly, I fell this way about most of FX's shows. The first couple seasons of Nip Tuck were awesome but after watching this past season when they moved to LA it was pretty much crap.

    The Shield has been the strongest of the lot. The final season should be on some time this summer unless the strike caused some problems.

    They've been in production since March. They were ordered for 22 episodes to start airing in July. The strike didn't bother their production since their seasons don't start until the summer anyway. From the looks of it if they're going to start airing in the summer, the 22 episode order might cover season 6 as well and they'll have a split season.

    There's also the possibility to delay it until the fall, or early 09 until shooting is caught up and show all 22 episodes as season 5, but that doesn't seem to be their plan since they get better ratings in the summer anyway.
