    what do I mean..........I mean, I'm always waiting....holding out, for something/someone that never comes thru.........and it always hurts, even when I think it wont.

    Why do you wait for others? you have to change your OWN path!

    be your own first, and then others will follow.

    easier said than done :rolleyes: but, really just start small...do something ONLY with yourself in mind. something really small and simple...and then go on from there...it's the difference in how you treat yourself. :)

    this is so very true. I make this choice probably at least once every other day but then I always fall behind..........I have to stick to my path. I know this. What's funny is that I'm sure my friends would never know that I feel like this.....On the OUTSIDE of me, I don't think anyone can see this...........

    If you're talking about a relationship things come along when you least expect it. Everyone always told me that and I thought they were full of shit. I was always thinking no one would ever come along that I would feel that I could rely on. Then I met a girl a few weeks back and I have a whole new view on things.

    If you hang in long enough you'll get you're day.

    Just make sure that you're a strong enough person who can rely solely on yourself, in the meantime. If you're that way you'll know who you can rely on and who you can't.

    Yeah, I'm talking about relationships.......and so true, when I got divorced (almost 8 years ago) I was alone with my two kids and I was struggling, I mean emotionally and financially and I made sure then that I would NEVER EVER become dependent on anyone EVER AGAIN. I know I can take care of myself now and not have to RELY on anyone, I will never STRUGGLE like I did then. But sometimes it would be nice to know that someone wakes up everyday thinking about YOU first.........I don't think I've felt that way in........like.......forever.....

    I understand totally. You'll feel that way again. I was a bitter asshole for the longest time and then I met someone that I feel 'different' for and she feels the same. It's a strange thing. No bullshit, no pretense. We're there for each other no matter what. Trust me, if it happened to me it'll happen to you.

    sometimes, it's best to let your sad insides out every so often...that way friends don't always think you are "game" or a sport, and they start considering HOW you will react to them...rather than thinking of you as happy go lucky.
