Tax question

with regard to the "economic stimulus:rolleyes:" tax rebate, i found this on the turbo tax website:

The IRS will use your rebate to pay for any outstanding debts, including back taxes, student loans, and child support, the same way it does with a regular refund.

forgive me if this sounds like a stupid question, but i'm a complete retard when it comes to taxes.

to me this reads that if i file and don't pay the $206 that i owe for 2007, they will deduct it from the $600 rebate. is that correct?
"and onward goes this thing of ours."

Yes it's like when your high school holds your diploma from you until you return all of your overdue library books.
