Smoked Goats Bladder....mmmmmm

One of the casinos that I deal with left me a message over the weekend and asked me to source this for them. Also asked me for GET THIS.....Young pasteurized PUPPY!! Evidentally they have a group coming in from the Phillipines and this is a common practice where they are from. Needless to say, I already knew that puppy/dog is illegal in the states and told them that. But in case anyone is curious, it is also against USDA regulations for anyone to sell goat bladder, smoked or otherwise. Discuss amongst yourselves....:D

    Evidentally it was to be used in some kind of sausage. Not sure if it would have been the casing or actually been in it...Disgusting either way...:)

    HAHAHA....NICE!!!

    I actually have a couple of guys from Micronesia that work for us and asked them about this. They have both eaten dog when they lived back home, and said that puppy would be considered like veal there. Wrong on so many levels though!

    when I was in the Navy , was in Phillipines for a bit and they had tis "dish" called Balut, which is fully formed unhatched duck . A buddy ate it , can't recall his impression, but no way would I eat some of the local "cuisine". thank god each base has a MickeyD's or a BK!
