I can feel it already, the cold, the winter approaching. I know there is a name for everything, but that "Seasonal Affective Disorder" hits me hard, and it's starting. The leaves changing, knowing that the next 6 months are going to be cold, snowy, grey. Spring is so far off. Even my Ipod has been playing depressing tunes on Shuffle LOL!

Where do you live? I'll trade you! I've been mad because last week it was still in the 90s  Today it was in the 80s but still WAAAYYYYY too hot for this time of year!! I want to wear long sleeve t-s and wool sweaters, and cordouroy pants!!!0

Fall is my favorite season!!!
Its cozy and colorful!
I love wearing a sweat shirt, jeans and flip flops (wear em till my toes basically freeze off!)
It might be slightly depressing, but that crisp fall air is unbeatable! For me it feels hopeful and fresh. Somewhat warm days and chilly nights are what its all about. Bonfires and roasted marshmallows, beautiful orange sunsets, the bright moon against the black sky, waking up early when its still dark and the mist fills the air, watching the leaves turn wonderful colors then watching them fall, jumping in the piles of leaves, then the rain and the wet leaves....MAN I love FALL!!!!!!!!!!! To me I feel like all music sounds better this time of year too...ahhh I just love it!"I'm not present, I'm a drug that makes you dream"0 -

1. I'm wearing a sweater to work tomorrow.
2. The cold mist rising off the Hudson this Saturday morning.
3. Listening to my new Fall mix.
4. The beginning of hockey season.
5. The leaves in the Hudson Valley. Good god, those leaves.
Welcome, Fall!0 -
i love fall. there is something comforting about it that really makes me enjoy it.0

Supermarket was more crowded than I've seen in a really long time. I think people are stocking up for the winter....or Armageddon.
I'm actually considering selling a few luxury items of mine and purchasing a small arsenal just in case all hell breaks lose over here. Unless I'm way off (which is not entirely impossible), millions of people all over the country are about to become street walkers.0 -

Upstate NY. And we just get NAILED with lake effect snow normally. December - the tail end of March, April even. Ick.
I don't mind the first day of wearing pants & sweaters, but we had a sketchy summer. Rainy, not super warm so it wasn't a relief to have fall come. I guess it just gets me low. NOOOOOO!!!
I love wrapping up in my scarf, gloves and hat and walking to work and seeing my breath in the air
The leaves are beautiful colors, you can start shopping for Christmas, celebrate Halloween and reap the harvest of fine local fruit and veg! Things like stews and apple pies are really Autumnal and make you feel all warm and homely. It gets darker earlier (an excuse to go to bed earlier with your hot water bottle) and you can't beat walks in the cold as you're wrapped up warm, listening to wildlife snuffle about in the hedgerows...
I love the British AutumnBeen to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.0 -

I'm with you. The approach of winter and the shorter days make me a little depressed. I'm definitely a spring/summer person - GIVE ME SUNSHINE AND LOTS OF IT (and temps in the 80's)!The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0 -

As another upstater, right there with ya. I'm not looking forward to fall and winter either - I love summer and I don't care if it gets hot, and when I take a trip, if I hear one more person go 'oh the leaf colors should be good', I'm gonna puke. Fuck the leaf colors. I want to see GREEN LEAVES, not red and yellow. Cover the plants - its supposed to hit the 20's tonight.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.
