I saw Milk. It was good.

I want to see The Wrestler. I'm not a fan of wrestling, but it's got freakin' 97% positive on rottentomatoes.

or go see "Family Matters 2008, The Revenge of Urkel"

Did you know Urkel inspired a PJ song? Vedder once penned "Spin, spin. Spin the black Urkel". Upon Vedder asking Steven Urkel's permission to use his name, Urkel said "I'm a big fan of vinyl" and suggested Vedder change the lyrics to "Spin the black CIRCLE". Well... the rest is music history, with little or no credit going to Steven Quincy Urkel.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

Haven't seen it but I can almost guarentee you that Gran Turino is the best. That movie looks amazing.

  • Not sure what the best movie in theatres is now, but I saw Frost/Nixon the other night and really dug it...if you're into dialogue-driven/thinking movies.

The best new release on DVD is 'Man On Wire.' That got a 100% on rottentomatoes (virtually impossible). Trust me, it's an incredible movie/documentary. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_On_Wire

Tomorrow the best movie may be Frank Miller's The Spirit.

I can't say what the best is because I've only seen one lately, but I can highly recomend The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It's one of those movies that pull you into the time and place as well as the story, plus the effects are really well done. Seeing Brad Pitt age from his 90's back to his teens is really impressive in itself, nevermind that the story is very intriguing. It manages to take an implausible idea and make it seem realistic; not a very easy thing to accomplish.
    It's all about the music...

    yup
  • gran turino was great! classic clint! some of the surrounding acting was a bit weak but clint was enough to carry the whole film... and i agree with benjamin button too! a little sappy at times but it had me teary eyed for most of the second half and the 3 hours passed by pretty quickly... great directing as usual from david

anyone see "the spirit" yet? and is it worth it?
