EV Zippo Stolen in Mailing

First time I've ever had anything stolen with a 10C purchase.

Paid $50.50 for a ripped package with nothing inside. What can I do? I just emailed the 10Club. I know it's not their fault but I shouldn't have to pay this amount for nothing in return.

    i think what you did so far is the right thing to do. if they don't help you out then i would dispute the credit card charge.

    contact the post office, didn't it have to be scanned for delivery?

    yes, there were two barcodes on it and everything.
    my mother is more surprised that our mail lady of 15 yrs didnt realize it was ripped...and i know she didn't take it (50 y/o woman doesnt need a zippo and prolly has no idea what the 10Club is)

    Totally contact the post office.

    Do you get you mail through a slot or in a box? Basically what I'm driving at...can anyone else in your neighbourhood get access to your mail before you check it yourself??

    Check with the post office. Should be some kind of insurance or something.

    I feel u i had my tool tickets stolen last year. Contact the post office and see if it cam eup but i think u are sol.

    I had A Pj book stolen ( the AUST Post left it on top of my mail box ) Came home to find a ripped open Post bag and no book. Basically it is the Post Office's fault ( I'm from Australia ) and they reimbursed me the costs of the book. I then ordered another form the 10C to a diff address.

    i live in Australia and have recently had 4 packages go 'missing' in the past couple months, of which 2 were from ebay so i could have just got ripped off.. but 2 were expected.. i call foul play

    That's pretty low. I have a good feeling that 10C will replace it for you (or maybe your mail lady was hinting for you to stop smoking).

    i live in a residential house in CT...the mail is put in our box and packages are left in it or around the front step...this was a small vertically rectangular package for all those that know/bought a zippo

    It was just taken out of my profile. Now if I buy another one, how do I make sure my CC doesn't get charged twice?
    I guess I have to contact Citi for that one

    If they refunded it, then the reimbursement will show back up on your statement probably at the end of your billing cycle. I think it's safe to order another one. That e-mail 10c sent means they're taking care of it.

    10c is good when it comes to this stuff...glad it worked out for you, but karma for the person who stole your lighter is going to be a b**ch

    I was going through airport security with a new torch cigar lighter and got pulled over (almost actually jumped by about 10 security guards)...they wouldn't allow it on the plane but told me I could go back out to the departures terminal and mail it to myself - the little post office charged me $20 in shipping and then had me drop it in a large plastic garbage bin in a clear plastic bag. The dude actually joked "sweet lighter, hoped no one grabs it"...I never saw her again :( my EV zippo is my first "nice" lighter since. I took extra time hiding it in my luggage for my trip home from out west. The world is a cruel place sometimes.
