I'm thinking about moving there. Does anyone on this board live there? I can't believe Big Brown finished last.

    That is about 90 miles or so north/west of where i was born/raised..
    I know nothing of the town really.
    I do know I had a bitch of a time tryin to back-up a tractor/trailer
    in the fucking newspaper's parking lot..(my truck is bigger than their parkinglot..
    i only had 500 tons of newspaper paper on rolls for them fuckers...
    and i couldn't get into their bullshit truck dock...assholes

    all seasons are in Iowa.
    nice weather, cold weather, hot weather, snow up the ass, rain, flowers and heat.
    surrounded by corn, soy beans, alfalfa fields endless, woods, and country girls
    naked in barns filled with hay..
    cows, pigs, horses, ducks, geese, chickens, dogs, cats, mice, gravel-road trips, growin dope out yonder, 4x4 mud fest 3000, outlaws and illegals,
    mississippi, iowa, missouri, are all rivers near there.
    rock quarries filled with water summer time swimming..
    Iowa kicks ass dude..
    i used to run that flippin state..litterally
    and some hard ass music comes from there.
    i know many outstanding musicians in iowa..

    where are you from, what kinda work do you do?

    Ottumwa Iowa is a shithole. I don't know of any advantages to living there.

    Seriously... don't move there.

    I love Iowa.

    Well, I guess just Iowa City...

    I lived there for 5 years (while in college) and it was a great town! Never been to Ottumwa, so can't help you there.
