When you were in high school, if your Aunt (or Grand parent) who lives 12 hours away who you have not seen in 4 years, sent you a check for your birthday or Christmas, would you send them a thank you, either in the form of an email or thank you card? I don't know what to do. I only know my nephews got it if I ask my sister or I check my bank to see if the check cleared. Same for my God daughter who lives 40 minutes from me. Today I am mailing the last check for my one nephew who'll be 18.

i always sent little thank you cards with any present i have received in the post, one just to say thank you, and 2 so that the gift giver knew that the money/present arrived safely. I personally think its a very nice gesture to send a thank you of some kind, even if it is a phone call
  • Hey... I already answered this one. :P Anyway, yes. I would send a thank you note. Usually I was forced to write these notes by my parents. While I didn't appreciate it at the time, I certainly do now.
  • Dave got a £30 voucher from his grandma so we spent it on stuff for our (future) house. He will be sending a thank you card from both of us :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I always send thank you notes.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.
