    it's gambling, isn't it (sobbing)

I have trouble controlling myself and normally I stay away from these types of things ever since I gambled in Mississippi 10 years ago and I won a couple of hundred dollars in the high roller room (slot machine).

    only 1 tiny, lonely ticket?

I suppose it is gambling. But it's small potatoes. It's not like you bought $500 in tickets.

Don't be so hard on yourself.

I always feel sorry for the elderly, like in 7 11....they buy scratch offs and don't win, turn around and buy more.

just think - you're helping to support the state economy, which uses it's lottery money to help improve roads, schools, turret syndrome patients, ya know, whatever they can! :D
I love to turn you on

So how much is Mega Milliions up to? I live in a state with Mega Millions, but there is only one store in our small town that sells tickets. I work in a state that has Power Ball and also get gas in that state (much cheaper) so I usually end up buying Power Ball instead of Mega Millions. However, when Mega Millions gets up there I buy. So how many millions is it now?

don't think it's very much at all, maybe only $12 million? go to your state's lottery.

Powerball is up to $45mil or so. I will probably stick with that. I mean why bother with a mere $12mil? :)

One good thing about living on a border.... I can choose MegaMillions in Illinois and/or PowerBall in Kentucky! I can buy cheap gasoline in Kentucky (much less tax), but yet pay lower state income taxes in Illinois! There are other good aspects, and some disadvantages too.

I've got Pennsylvania connections. If I win both, we can have a pearl jam party starring pearl jam. I'll be rich enough to hire them!
