I get grossed out really easily

I could not go to a (high school) graduation party in June that my friend JJ had for her daughter. Our mutual friend Anne took her 12 year old. Since JJ has a pool, I am surprised that Anne did not automatically take a bathing suit for her daughter. When I emailed Anne, to ask how it was, she said that JJ loaned her daughter one of her bathing suits so that she could swim. I was grossed out.
Do you find it too personal to share a bathing suit? I did not say anything to my friend, I kept my gross worries (cooties, infections, etc.) to myself.

Last week at work one woman was telling her coworker in the bathroom that she had plenty of size 12 shorts she could not wear any more. And she said she wanted them. Again, I was grossed out. We're not poor where we work!

Nobody gets grossed out as easily as me cats, but that's nothing. I've borrowed my sister bathing suit before. As long as you clean it before and after what's the difference?

My biggest thing is people talking about gross stuff while I'm trying to eat, like surgery, or boils. Gross me out.

Happy anniversary by the way!! :)

what if your bathing suit is very expensive and delicate and can only be washed in cold water?

I don't really get grossed out at all. I've worked in the dirtiest of places, and shared clothes when I'd travel for basketball, whatever, doesn't matter to me.

But then again, I'm just a dirty boy, so it doesn't bother me as much. :p

But yeah, I've always been a bit lenient with things of this nature. It's never really bothered me.

Unless I was absolutely desperate there's no way I'd wear someone else's bathing suit and I can't think of a situation where I'd be that desperate for a bathing suit.

And I'm not really interested in pre owned shorts or trousers either.

As for knickers  Not gonna happen!!!
    NOPE!!!

no, not gross. growing up as a competitive swimmer, I can say there's a lot of bathing suit trading. people wash their bathing suits. Plus, if it's pool swimming, there's chlorine involved.

As for the shorts, what's wrong with that??? If you have clothes that don't fit, giving them away is the best solution for everyone. Someone gets free clothes, they don't go in a landfill, there's no additional resources used to make a new pair of shorts for the recipient...

I think it's kind of funny that you think only poor people would want the shorts.

why didn't i meet you then? i met pure for that show, although at the hotel preparty.

anyhoo, i DO get grossed out pretty easily. i am a VERY visual person so when someone starts describing something to me, that's it, i have the image in my head. i can handle blood and such, but don't get into nasty bodily fluids and issues, etc. in regards to the bathing suit i do kinda agree with your premise, but i would not be 'grossed out' about it, as it's not my bathing suit nor am i wearing it. altho if it's someone i trust and feel is clean :p....as long as the suit is clean, i guess i wouldn't have an issue with it. and YES...do NOT tell me nasty stories while i am eating! also, i am VERY sensitive to smells, so if someone is not smelling to good....yikes......gives me the dry heaves at times.:o
    Stay with me...

I am myself like you somehow

I didn't go to the pre-party at the hotel. I had a hard time getting to my hotel, I drove alone and got lost in a bad part of town in York, PA. My husband was at a car show in a diff. part of PA and met me in Reading. I had to chill out in my hotel room and then we went to the show. Before that, I called her from Denny's, I still remember I was eating apple pie when I called Pure and told her how LOST I was earlier.

That wasn't October cats, Reading was the VFC tour, along with the Toledo show where I was SUPPOSED to catch up with Slip Kid but then the board went wacko and everybody lost touch with each other. I was walking around Toledo looking for Max, having seen a picture, albiet from far away, and thought I would be able to pick him out, but couldn't. Probably my biggest regret of that road trip. :(

And I met decides2dream and Whospearljam and many, many others at the pre-party in Reading. Also met up with neener, luvistower, shlitz and Kevin (RIP); pleadthe5th; and it was also the show where my friend Dave (RIP) surprised me with 2nd row seats. Good times, great memories that I will never forget.

The October show was when Ed signed my bandana and we had the club box seats - cats, remember, our own personal bar and bathroom. That show ROCKED :D

I meant that I met you, we saw each other, in that thick crowd in the hallway (concourse?) in Reading. Then I met Schlitz and Kevin (RIP) near the bathroom. I recognized her b/c I had seen her pic. And you showed me the bandana a year later in Wachovia. I need to paste this in a PM to myself so I'll remember.
