that was so cheesy, I cannot believe I watched it. I fell asleep 3x. Do you know why I watched it? Well I was flipping channels and when I saw Adrienne Brody was in it, well that's why. He is so homely but there is something attractive about him.

is jack black no longer a musician? he was in it as well...

Ugh. I sat through some of it, fast forwarded most of it, all to see King Kong fight a T-Rex. The fight wasn't even all that good. What a waste of time.

Ice is pretty strong. Unless it was thin on water, it could probably support several tons per square inch.

That is freaking hilarious. Out of all the bullshit in that movie you're focusing on the ice. I love it. And no, I'm not ripping you, I just think it's funny the things we notice. Giant ape? No problem. Dinosaur? No problem. Ice skating? Get outta here with that shite! I just wish I would have thought of it.

all this talk of the ice skating... i don't remember that (olderman has loss of memory moment)

i saw it on the big screen on xmas night 2005 and all i can remember is naomi watts on the front of the ship with the wind and all. naomi is beautiful! :p
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Its a movie about a giant ape that falls in love with a shreiking blond......

    .....were you expecting Schindlers List?

That being said, its almost a direct copy of the original 1933 version, even including much of the identical dialogue and fight scenes with the animals. For that reason alone I liked it. It was sort of an homage to popcorn-monster-movies in general.

It's not his best work, but Peter Jackson's adaptation of Lord of the Rings was so good that he could remake "2 chicks 1 cup" and I'd pay to see it.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

Exactly.. If it was cheesy, it was on purpose.

the ape slid around on his butt on the ice in NY, he left his skates back at Skull Island.

back on the island, naomi had to choose between staying with the ape in his muscular hairy arms or leave with adrienne brody. for a second, i thought she wanted the ape.
