I'm home alone and I'm feeling creepy, lol....I keep hearing noises in the hall while I'm in my office. Then I was really stupid when a man who was selling something called and I told him what time my husband will be home. If you see some empty chairs at the VA beach and DC shows in the 181xxx fan club section, you'll know I was chopped up and thrown in the ocean.

Relax... I might stalk you and sneak around your house a little while you're home, but I'm not going to chop you up. Well, unless...

my friend and I were talking about how we both think our houses have "built-in guests" and he was telling me how he can hear footsteps up and down his dining room when he is alone and the house is quiet. Whenever I am over there, I dont hear anything though.

So, one day I went to his house to borrow his copy of Rockband while he was out of town. Using a spare key, I went into his garage and was making my way to his basement when I heard kids running around upstairs. I proceeded to go into his house and grab the game when I heard it again.I thought, damn he must have come home early and his kids were upstairs. So I went upstairs to say hi and the house was empty. I called their names, announced it was me and dead silence. I was thinking "holy-shit".
On my may home I called him and asked if he was messing with me. He said he was still out of the state and "hahaha I told you!"

back on topic: I almost had a heart attack when I was doing laundry in the basement and I hear two men talking upstairs...I ran upstairs and my 5 year old daughter had opened the door for them. (it was an appliance delivery). I am pretty sure it is the last time she does that.
If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

that's terrible! wonder why kids died in that house. ghosts haunt you when they died before their time or they are unhappy, I guess?

well it was comcast pestering me to get more service and I thought if I played dumb (that only my husband can make a decision), he would go away.
that's when he asked what time he gets home, when i asked if my husband can call him back. I should have a recording of a German Shepherd barking in the background for times like that...

    it was pretty creepy.

I dont hear things in my house, just once in awhile see things from the corner of my eye.

When I lived with my parents in their basement my kitten would freak out once in awhile and run from room to room with a frightened look

I swear my cat saw ghosts. In the same spot in my living room, he would roll back and forth, looking up like someone was playing with his fat belly. It happened like 4x...

and before he died, he kept walking over to the wall and looking up (the Angel of Kitty Cat Death was calling him)

All 3 of my cats are prone to suddenly open their eyes really wide and stare at what appears to be nothing. Sometimes their tails will even start to poof out a bit. Of course, my cats have second-hand smoked a lot of great weed, so who knows what they're seeing.

Awww :o I know the feeling. It's alright in Dublin but I was only in my sisters house on my own once... she lives in the middle of nowhere (near where I'm from, but I'm used to the city now) and I kept hearing noises :o and once a door banged down the house, that was it, I let the 3 dogs into the kitchen :D . My sisters boyfriend got back a little confused (I think he'd just gone to get us something to eat, lol)

I have a ghost...my doorbell rings for no reason and my lights will turn on or off on their own. I've heard that electrical problems are signs of a ghost. I hear footsteps on my stairs all the time...and sometimes I hear banging in the attic. One day I was sitting on the couch and a cabinet door flew open and a vase flew out. I bought some fresh flowers just in case :D My house is old...so wouldn't be suprised that there is a ghost...but I think he's friendly.
There's a light when my baby's in my arms :)

you should watch the Orphanage if little kid ghosts freak you out....

back on the topic, I'm pretty sure the house I grew up in had some weird happenings going on in it, lights going on and off, footsteps when no one's home. It's fucking creepy.

For all of you with the ghost things going on...here is some advice (and nope I am not being a smart ass or trying to refute or encourage belief in ghosts or spirits)

get some camphor and walk from the top to the bottom of your homes with a dish of burning camphor...all the time just think in your head (you dont have to say it out loud) "Please leave, this is my home I do not want you here"

put a few camphor balls in the corners of the rooms that have the most "action"

hope that helps...of course, if these people are attached to you (grandparents, parents etc.,) you might want to think twice before sending them off.
