I'm in town for 2 days and would love to hear what I should hit up. Looking for something more "high end"

Also a good spot around Fenway to grab a beer and watch a game.

Atlantic Fish Company is good for a nice restaurant. I unfortunately don't know too many nice restaurants.

Boston Beer Works and Cask N Flagon are good Fenway bars.

As far as restaurants, there are so many. Try the North End - Dolce Vita or Ristorante Fiore are good choices on Hanover St for Italian.

Stephanies on Newbury St is good - American Bistro. Davios at the corner of Arlington/ Stuart St is good too.

    Have fun!

    I second this recommendation.

I am not a Boston native, but I have traveled there quite a bit. I love teh North End for Italian restaurants. There are many to choose from.

For a higher end place, I recommend doing a tasting menu at Clio or its sister restaurant Uni. Both are excellent.

  • Stay out of the North End. Too pricey, too touristy, food just OK. Way better Italian to be had.

Right now in Boston, Eastern Standard is where it's at for a good higher end restaurant.
Beer & baseball is most definitely Cask & Flagon. Get there early.

Good choice, I know one of the managers quite well, so drop my name for an extra fish.

For steaks, Abe & Louie's is good as well as the 2 big chain steak houses, Mortons and Capital Grille (but those obviously aren't unique to Boston).

I would recommend my favorite hole in the wall place in Chinatown, but much to my chagrin when I went to see EV at the Opera House I discovered it was gone.

For steaks, I've always been fond of Grille 23.

North End ... Cibo is probably my fave ... lots of good places for late night coffee and deserts, that's what I uaually go there for.

If you want a nice romantic place ... I highly recommend Casa Romero, on Glouscester St in the back bay ... albeit not that high end, but it's high end for a Mexican restaurant ...

  • One other thing- it is restaurant week, so there's awesome deals to be had at some REALLY swank places.

For High End I would go with Radius or Sorellina both deliver. A little expensive but if you can swing it - you can't wrong. Just went to Sorellia on Friday and can't wait to go back.

    Dick's.

I've never been there, but I hear that they insult you as you eat.

No self-respecting PJ fan would go to this place.

I've known 3 girls to get drugged there, not to mention a scorching case of Hepatitis B that swept the Hub not long ago traced back to bartenders there who don't wash their hands.

this is a good suggestion for sushi. the atmosphere is very nice. kind of a pain to get to though (though it's not too far from fenway if you're in that area).

I second Casa Romero, great choice for Mexican in the city.
