  • nope that is normal for a little kid.

get her to play with old oatmeal boxes and dried beans and stuff like that. have her pour them from one box into another, and just use a tray or something for her to use as a table (keeps it cleaner) also dried rice, and assorted beans.

be sure to keep a close watch tho! CHOKING HAZARDS!!

and the expensive playgrounds are more for your benefit than for hers!

  • everybody wants to play with other toys, what they're not supposed to, etc. even adults. ;)

    so yes, completely normal! :D

sorting instinct...it is a strong one.

it is also a good one-parents should focus on stuff like that, it works the pincher grasp and it also helps categorize things...these things come in handy later!

No its absolutly normal play.Known as Holistic/Heuristic play, meaning having the imagination to play with simple everyday objects. You could make up a trunk of everyday items, wooden spoons, fabric, boxes etc and your wee girl will play much longer,as these items become anything they want them to be rather than being pre recognised toys.I knew that child psychology degree would come in handy lol.
