  • Thin Air!

Enjoy every moment of the wedding, it just flies by.

I got so hammered my memories are a little spotty. Sure wish I'd sprung for the videographer!

Mr. Cateeto and I had "Come Back" as our first dance. It has a special meaning to the two of us and also a private meaning to myself on top of that. The song is about a lot of things, but mainly to us, love lasting a lifetime and beyond.

We had Even Flow, the Pearl Jam tribute band play it for us. It was a very beautiful moment and we couldn't have picked a better band or song to keep it alive in our minds :)

just recently got engaged and currently in the midsts of planning the wedding, but we've always agreed on dancing to Somebody by Depeche Mode as our wedding song. I've had her listen to Picture in a Frame from one of the European shows and we've agreed to have that as our last dance as well.

I was thinking of Harvest Moon by Uncle Neil but a board member (my best man as well) to save it for his.

Somebody is a pretty good idea.

I'm thinking Thank You by Zeppellin would be my ideal choice

Would it be too cliche to say Yellow Ledbetter? That was about 4.5 years ago.
  • getting married next year and am looking for more ideas on wedding songs...doesn't have to be the first...but looking for cool/relevant ones from any artist...

i'm thinking thin air would be cool though...

  • not sure if I would do the whole "first dance" thing, but there are 2 songs I've ever thought of in that vein- Sweet Child O'Mine and Everlong.

  • We had a pretty typical song. "You and Me" by Lifehouse. It's one we both could agree on.

3.5 months and I still couldn't change her mind. She was close to agreeing as I nixed just about every lame song she mentioned. Then I made the mistake of saying another song "wasn't bad, but not great either." She took that to be, "we can use that song for our first dance." Oh well, at least Thin Air is going to be played during the reception and she's agreed that we will dance to that one then. It's only 5 days away

  • "By My Side" by Ben Harper... she's a big Ben Harper fan so I had no issue with it. We were thinking about "Waste" by Phish as well.

'Someone Like You' by Van Morrison

Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk

The only song we could agree on. She wanted something really cheesy like From this moment by Shania or some other crap like that.
  • Our first dance was Where Are You Going - Dave Matthews Band...last song of the night was Yellow Leadbetter. Leadbetter was played with the House lights up...not a lot of people knew why...but we did...
